I know, I know – you are probably drowning in information overload and overwhelmed by the myriad sources of things you might just find helpful and interesting….. if you are lucky! So, if you have found apps, websites, podcasts and YouTube channels, etc that you love and learn from, that’s great. However, if you are on the lookout for useful, practical and mostly free resources, here are three that I often recommend to my clients:
The Daily Stoic – https://dailystoic.com/ Stoicism is a very powerful and practical way of living life well and the Daily Stoic is a great source of free articles, posts, podcasts about using this ancient philosphy to deal with challenges of modern life. Go take a look, and if nothing else, sign up for the free daily email meditation
Commune – https://www.onecommune.com/ Here you will find video courses and online workshops in personal development, mindful movement, spirituality, health, environmental regeneration, and social activism. There are often offers to sample new courses for free, and the many podcasts, articles, and blogs are free too.
Barking up the wrong tree – https://bakadesuyo.com/ Lots of free, useful resources, and the weekly newsletter is Eric Barker, the man behind barking up the wrong tree, distils the key points of latest research on a range of interesting topics, and does so in a fun, easy-to-read and absorb way. Typically, you can read and get the essence of a subject in a few minutes instead of the hours it would take to read the book!
